The Ankle

– Small but Mighty!

Did you know that our small ankle joint bears a force of roughly five times our body weight when walking; and up to thirteen times our body weight when running?

Not only do the ankles act as shock absorbers and propulsion engines for every movement our feet make; they are also flexible and allow for the up-and-down and side-to-side motions of the feet.

Any injury to the ankle can greatly affect
our mobility and stability – seek prompt specialist
treatment for faster recovery.
